It's strange, but true. Technically, we are without a home right now. Yesterday afternoon we handed over the keys to our rental in Modesto- our home of 15 months. We drove away with our car packed full of the things we'll need for the next few weeks, with the rest of our belongings far away, hopefully safe in a storage facility in Michigan by now.
I didn't really ever like this house very much, but we made sweet memories there. This is the house where Pyper celebrated her 8th birthday and became a member of the church. This is the house where Hakan started kindergarten and lost his first tooth. This is the house where Finnley changed from a baby to a little boy and became an older brother. This is the house we brought baby Rowan home to.
So even though we didn't own this house, it really was our house for a time.
Now begins our month of bouncing from one friend or relative's home to the next, visiting and playing and saying goodbye for a while. Michigan is far away, you know.

sarah- thanks for your comment on my blog! i didn't realize you had another one, but i am excited to be filled in a bit more! congrats on the "new" baby- of course i love the name rowan, it's been in the running for our boys, too! good luck with the big move.
I would just like to point out that Michigan is a lot closer to Ohio! Maybe we could actually see each other. :) Good luck with the move. Sweet sentiments about your rental home.
