The time is drawing near for us to leave California. While nothing is set in stone just yet, things are happening, plans are being made and the clock is most definitely ticking away our time here. Aaron has been spending his work weeks out of state since February (in Illinois, Missouri and Georgia), going where he's needed and coming home on the weekends. Meanwhile the kids and I stay home and carry on as best we can by ourselves. When Aaron is home we try to take full advantage of being a whole family again, usually running off somewhere to see and do and play.
This weekend we decided to make the most of some unusually warm weather and headed to the Aaron's parents' house. They live about half an hour from the coast so we spent a lazy Saturday afternoon under a canopy while the kids darted in and out of the waves, searched for sand pennies and other, um, "treasures", and got really, REALLY sandy.

It was a fantastic day at the beach. Everyone left exhausted, but happy.
