First, let me explain to those of you who've never visited that we live on a dead end street. It's awesome. The only cars that come down are mostly residents or the occasional turn around. Traffic is minimal, so kids can play in the road without much danger. Secondly, our street is FULL of kids. That's awesome too. Thirdly, we have great neighbors. Each 4th of July our street holds a block party, and this year's was outstanding!
A bounce house was rented and set up which was a fantastic idea and a HUGE HIT with all the kids.

There's a vacant house across from the couple who hosted this year, so they set up canopies and chairs on the lawn, karaoke on the porch and food tables and grills in the driveway. It was perfect.

This is Finnley's new best friend. She was a giant help during the party because I could let Finn roam around without worrying that he'd get into trouble because Naomi kept such a close eye on him.

Pyper got up the nerve to try karaoke. Too bad she didn't know the song she and her friends were supposed to sing.

Aaron even put aside his dignity to be a good sport and sing "Ice, Ice, Baby" with the guys. This historical moment was documented well, let me just tell you.

There were plenty of sparklers, snappers, small fireworks of all kinds and LOTS of fun had by all.

At sunset we went back down to our house and set up chairs in the yard to watch the fireworks from the stadium across town. There's a nice big gap between the houses across from us so it's the perfect view.

It was so much fun to get to hang out with our neighbors. I'm already looking forward to next year!
