We decided not to stop for the night in Winnemucca as we'd planned, but drove straight through to Grandma Anderson's in San Lorenzo and arrived around 3 a.m. The next day we took it easy and didn't do any major travelling. 11 hours on end in the car makes you kind of NOT want to be in the car the next day.
Aaron spent some time teaching the kids a couple of little tunes on Grandma's piano.

Hakan found Grandma's cool letter opener and spent quite a while handing her small pieces of paper and having her cut them in half with it. He's easily amused. :) Unfortunately, this is the ONLY picture I got of my awesome Grandma during our 3-day stay at her house. I'm such an idiot!

The kids decided to turn a couple of Grandma's grape tomatoes from her garden into puppets and use them to put on a "play" for us.

This one with the "nose" is what started the whole thing. What weird kids I have.

My Uncle Bart and his family came to see us that afternoon as well. Didn't get pictures of all of them, but here's Bart holding Finnley.

Pyper and Hakan liked taking turns holding Hailey's leash. Not sure how much she liked it, though.

After their visit we took the kids down the road a few blocks to Kennedy Park. My Dad and his brothers and sisters worked here as teens. It's a very cool place, with a petting zoo complete with pony rides, a carousel, a playground and a train that you can ride around the park.

We finished off our visit to the park with some cotton candy and a soft pretzel to share. Kennedy Park was definitely a hit!

In the evening my cousin Rebecca (Bart's oldest daughter) and her baby boy, Aiden, came to see us. Again, no pictures of them either *smack!*, but I did get a video of Finnley attacking, I mean, hugging Aiden. He kept doing this over and over. It was so cute!Hakan woke up the next morning and asked if Aiden was still there. My kids sure liked that baby! :)
So that was day 1 of our week-long visit to Cali. I'll keep posting about the rest of our trip, probably a day at a time so you don't get photo overload.

Mom and Dad here. Thanks for the pics and videos. It's always fun to see the kids. We're looking forward to being at Grandma's for Thanksgiving. Any chance you guys can come too? Keep up the posts. Photo overload is very unlikely. Thanks again.
Finnley's hugs were so cute! Glad you guys got home safely.
