It's official...

...we're house hunters!!  So far we've been to see 5 homes.  None of them are contenders, but that's okay.  Right now we're focusing on educating ourselves on the different areas around Ann Arbor, their schools, taxes, shopping, parks and playgrounds, proximity to Jackson (which is due west on the freeway) and, most importantly, what we can get for our money in each area. 

It's pretty confusing.

Here's a little section of map that shows where we're searching for a house~ Chelsea, Dexter, West Ann Arbor and the townships surrounding them.

There are still several more road trip posts to come, but because it might be fun (and because my Mom and friend Lisa specifically requested it), I'm going to share with you some (if not all) of the homes we've seen.  This is the Darwin house.

It has 4 bedrooms and 2.1 baths, 2802 total square feet (including the finished basement), sits on a quarter acre lot and has a 2 car attached garage.

I forgot to take a picture of the sitting room upstairs.  It's to the left just as you walk in the front door. 

All in all, the whole house was very nice.  It sits in a neighborhood that reminded us of the one we were in in Caldwell, but it was too small for us.  We'd outgrow it in no time, and the yard was pretty small, too.  We're looking for space!
