Goodbye, house.

We have some fantastic news- last night we got a call from our realtor with an offer for our house!!! The offer was for about as low as we could accept, so we decided to counter-offer for a little more and they agreed. The paperwork has begun and we can FINALLY rest easy knowing that we won't be making two house payments for the rest of our lives, just once. :) We'll close June 16th, the day before our 8th anniversary.

When we moved here in March, Aaron's company had offered to pay our rent for 3 months so we could come right away even though our house hadn't sold. That meant we'd have one payment to make until June, which is fast approaching. We knew that we could make both payments if we had to, but it would be a real stretch. NOT something we'd want to have to do for very long. It's such a relief to know that it's basically taken care of now. We can get on with our lives here in Caldwell, at last. I told my parents that getting that phone call left me with the same sort of feeling I get after giving birth- all that pressure and anxiety and waiting and waiting and waiting... GONE! It's so wonderful!!

Aaron was over there for a few days working at the Sugar City plant recently and decided to borrow a lawn mower and go cut the grass. He pulled some weeds, tidied the bark in the flower beds and just kind of spruced things up a bit. Talk about good timing! Just a couple of days later our buyers came to see it for the first time and I'm really glad that the yard was looking its best when they did.

ANYWAY, we are so, so thrilled about this. Sorry to ramble on for so long about it. :)

Yaaaaay! I know you were stressing about that at first, then you were talking to Mom about how you figured everything would be alright, and here you are! Good thing you didn't have to make that payment, but at least you were ready. Now you can breathe. ^_^
